Tonight Samantha participated in a program with her 5th grade class called 'Hope of America'. 5th grade classes from all over the county get to participate in it and, I think at least, it is a pretty fun program.
The kids from various schools get different colored t-shirts (red, white, blue or yellow) so when they sit in the stands at one end of the events center they make a giant flag bordered in yellow. This picture is a little fuzzy but you can at least get the general idea of how cool it is.
Since my telephoto lens is acting up, this is as zoomed in on Samantha as I could get. She is the one in the middle, wearing a red t-shirt. ;)
She did a great job and we are proud of her! (What a cutie too!)
Kent said his favorite part of the program was that during the "Thank you Military" song when pictures of various military personnel are shown on the big screen in the middle of the events center, at least 1/3 of the pictures were of Marines. Hahaha! :)
